what is PIANO in RC section?

What does that mean?

when people mention about their GPAs,

what is like nsGPA etc etcetc?

piano is a reading passage that is long and has many tone q's. search the forum and you'll find tons on it.

sGPA is science gpa i guess nsGPA is natural science gpa.

My first RC passage was piano.

Piano is a horrible piece.

Very foreign subject, unfamiliar terms, tons of details, very long and many inference questions.

It's a pain doing this passage. Ate a lot of my time. Hated it.

Pretty sure nsGPA = non-science GPA...

i also had the piano passage as my first reading passage. kinda wished it was the last cause i spent about 30 minutes on it. i was hoping that my 9 years of experience in piano would help me but it really doesn't. the questions were really.. out of no where and I couldn't search and destroy like I had practiced.

I don't know why everyone makes a big deal about this passage. I was "pianoed" the first time I took the DAT, and I still managed to score a 20 on the Reading portion. Yes, the questions were a little harder and took some more time, but I feel getting "pianoed" is not an excuse for a lower score. However, I did increase to a 21 in reading my second time around when I did not have the piano passage.

I am in no way good at English --- I'm more of a science math person. I think that if you guys are applying to dental school, you will have the capability to beat this passage on the DAT. Good luck guys and don't worry about getting the piano passage. You will just stress yourself out if the passage happens to pop up on the screen. 👍
