Hey guys,

So I'm planning on taking a biology class through unecom's online lecture/lab.

I'm doing this because at my undergraduate college, they didn't offer any biology labs with the general biology classes.

I'm deciding between anatomy and microbiology, but I was wondering if I took a course in microbiology already but with a different course name.

The courses I took as an undergrad are DNA to Organisms / Organisms to Ecosystems / Genetics.

I would think DNA to Organisms would be similar to microbiology? If so, anatomy it is!

I don't know what your DNA to organisms class covers, but it doesn't sound like microbiology to me.

Even if it is duplicate material you should still at least get the lab component you need....but I dont think it is duplicate

Your DNA to Organisms course does not sound like microbiology to me. This sounds like a bio class I took before the general bio sequence.

Between anatomy and microbiology, which one do you think you would do best in?

I'm leaning towards anatomy because it sounds more interesting to me. I'd rather learn about things I can physically grasp without a microscope 😛

I don't blame you. I enjoyed my evolutionary anatomy and osteology courses tons more than microbio. But there are pros and cons to both anatomy and microbio, so go with your gut feeling.
