This might sound silly, but will not having sent a picture hurt my chances? I could send it now but will it be pointless? (By snail mail)

No. If they didn't ask for one, then of course not. Even if they did, do you really think that was the thing (of all the things adcoms consider within your application) that broke the camel's back?

I agree completely, but if your picture was not sent and it was necessary for your application to be complete. Then, the admissions committee might not have recieved your file. Of course, if they wanted you really badly, they would have notified you of the missing photo.

If they asked for a picture, it's best that you follow their instructions. You should send the admissions contact an email asking about it and seeing if you'll be able to email them an electronic copy of your photo.

The vast majority of schools I applied to requested a photo or took one the day of the interview. I think its just so they can put a name to a face and remember you better when it comes time to discuss your application.

This is for Upenn - they ask that we send a picture via snail mail, but they hadn't received that (or my other transcript) when I interviewed! So I sent it again but they haven't received it yet... Not sure what is going on with my mail, but I'm worried that this will make a difference!

email it... I think they said you could email it? maybe. Kinda late tho if you had your interview a few weeks ago. Idk if that's the case for you.

Yes I had my interview almost a month ago. I will just email them the picture and send a third copy!

Send it again. Pay for certified mail and delivery confirmation. That way you have a proof that they received it..

For anyone that's ever been through greek recruitment, you'll know how important having a picture is. My sorority spoke to 500+ people over the course of 2 weeks, and when we reviewed their profiles again the ones without pictures were simply not memorable.

There were profiles without pictures??? How does this happen? 😕

Also, I think you should specify sorority recruitment specifically, because fraternity recruitment is just .
