So I know the picture should be semi- professional- I'm not planning on sending a facebook picture with my friends or anything, but is it ok if its just a simple picture, clear view of face to shoulder?

I took a really simple picture. You can"t even see what I'm wearing so I don't think it's that big of a deal (I am a girl as well). It's just a head shot.

I have a picture thats just of my face, and a bit of my shoulders - is that ok?
I put it into epassport photo and it just gave a picture of my face 2 x 2

shoulders are bare tho...well you can tell they are from the picture but my hair is covering alot of it

I pretty much had a head shot with a bit of my shoulders showing. But then i realized the picture was a bit too big so i just ended up cutting off my shoulders and basically just having a head shot, but it still looked fine.

I'm a guy, and my head shot turned out to include very little of my shoulders.

You could see that I was wearing a button down dress shirt with the top button unbuttoned.

I hope that it wasn't a mistake wearing that shirt, but in my culture it's considered a very formal shirt. It's equivalent to a suit and tie.

I really doubt they care that much about the photos... All things considered, that's probably the least important part of the application.

The picture is the most important part! Go for full body nude on the toilet. Show em some class. 😉 But seriously, just a head shot w/ a nice smile. Don't overanalyze a picture, be sensible.

I just took one wearing an Ed Hardy trucker cap, and some of my TAPOUT shirt is visible (shoulders up)

or dress shirt + tie, stood in front of a light-colored wall and used self timer

I went to a professional photographer for my 2x2. lol.

I dont have very good genes, so I needed someone professional to do magic with the camera. haha

Are you really that worried a picture? It's not that big of a deal. Go get a hobby or do something to take your mind off your app, you're gonna drive yourself crazy.
