I am planning on applying PICU this upcoming year and am already being asked for schedule requests. In general, what months are most interviews offered? I've heard August/September are the big months. But again, someone else told me that they had more interviews in October/November. I will likely be wards senior during one of these blocks, so which would be the better option? Of note, most people in my year are applying for fellowships at the same time, so it makes it a little harder to switch around and get time off.

September and October are the main months. While there can/will be interviews in August, a sizable chunk of programs are not organized enough to turn around applications and schedule in the span of a few weeks. Depending on the actual match day and last day to certify ROL's, there can be interviews in November but it's probably best not to expect many that late in the season. Lastly, you'll need fewer interviews for fellowship than you did for residency. Few people do more than 8 fellowship interviews (I did 7, most of my friends and eventual co-fellow's did 6)
