Hi guys,

I'm a senior biology student at pitt and thinking about applying for dental schools next cycle.
My first option is pitt but I'm a bit worried because my gpa is quite low considering their average gpa (it was 3.74 overall and 3.67 for science last year)
My overall is 3.54 and science is 3.42
I'm hoping that my DAT score will make up for the low gpa. 23TS/ 22AA
Plus, I'm an in-state student.

As long as the rest of your application is good, you have a shot at getting an interview. Of course apply broadly to increase your chances of being accepted

@TORY1026 I also had a GPA that was lower than average but my DAT score was much higher than average and I got in. I think you should be fine considering the DAT is more so of a test result equalizer and you did great on that! Plus you're in-state which helps 🙂 A decent portion of the incoming class is made up of people who went to Pitt for undergrad as well!
