I don't follow - are you saying you can't copy/paste into the text boxes? Are you sure that your essays are beneath 250 words?

I'm having the same problem. When I navigate away from the page, the essay is not saved. I'm assuming it's a bug in their system and they'll fix it soon. I'm planning on calling on Monday if it isn't fixed by then.

btw, how serious of an ethical problem/moral dilemma are you guys writing about? i was going to write about a botched student group election but didn't know if that was too frivolous or not.

I've thought about it all day...and I think I'm probably going to just go with what I used last year; a situation from when I was a kid (stated in essay as "several years ago" >). I can't bring myself to make something up, and I haven't really faced any serious ethical dilemmas (aside from cheating), so I don't see any other options.

I am also having this problem.

Its not the 250 word thing either. I tried to get it to save a sentence and it still didn't work. I'm sure they will be aware of the problem soon if it is so pervasive.

It can't hurt - I'll be sending my letters tomorrow, as I've already paid my fee. I'll be trying to save the essays again tomorrow - I'm sure they've already received some feedback. Additionally, I'll probably stop by the Admissions office on Tuesday to see if there have been any updates to the secondary software (i.e., whether they've fixed the problem).

I never imagined I would be prevented from submitting because of a system problem rather than my own procrastination >). Some of you are a little closer to the school than I am (Quix), so as soon as you hear something please post it here. Thanks!
