Hi! For all those applying to the University of Pittsburgh, how long after your application was sent in did they get back to you about acceptance or denial? I was hoping to get my application in earlier but OTCAS only JUST verified it so i'm a bit worried about the rolling addmisions and if all the spots have been taken....Anyway, any answers would be great! 🙂

Hi there. I had my application verified and sent in by early September! They told me I would be one of the first to hear back since I was one of the first to send in my application, however I still have not heard any news. I think you are okay.

Mine got verified on OTCAS Sept.17th and I still haven't heard from Univ. of Pitts. Early decision deadline is Nov.1st.

Applicants who applied for the early decision admission on or before Nov. 1st should hear back by Feb.15th. Regular admission deadline is June 4th.

I called the school today and they told me that early decision people should hear back by this week or next week or even until end of January.

I found out last week that University of Pittsburgh rejected me but I sort of expected it and that's ok because I just found out that I got accepted to Nova Southeastern University in Southern Florida for Class of 2014 !!!!!!!!! Good luck to everyone else applying to Pitt or to any other schools!

Yeah, I have similar stats to those who have posted an acceptance to Pitts, but I am also getting worried that their class will be full. Does anyone know how many total are admitted to the program?

I was accepted. Basically the email said there is a deposit due by the 28th to secure your spot. I'm still in disbelief!
Congrats! I was told the same thing in regards to when I would be notified, but I still haven't heard anything. I feel like I have a really strong application and have high stats, but I have no idea why I haven't heard ANYTHING from them... I hope the class isn't full!

I hope it is not full either. There are certainly tons of wonderful applicants I think all schools would be bummed to miss out on if their programs are full this early. Last year I applied mid-Feb to Unv. of Pitts and got rejected. However I swear there were other people on this board that applied around the same time and were accepted.
I applied end of December and they got it beginning of January and I'm still in the "processing" phase. I was told mid-February the latest, as well. I was told that the class isn't full and they actually don't only send out acceptances on Tuesdays. So basically, we can all breathe a little easier! =)

It wouldn't hurt to ask. They seem really responsive to questions. Someone else posted that they tend to release decisions on Tuesdays and that is when I received mine last year too. I applied Dec 20th. So around the same time. I didn't expect to hear mid-Feb either. It is really frustrating to not know how they process things and it certainly makes you anxious.
