acceptance last year was normal letter

Okay, so I just called Pitt again, and a woman at the admissions office said that they are trying to get the letters sent out today, but they might possibly go out as late as Monday or Tuesday. I asked if any had already been sent out, and she said no. So, I'm not sure if the rumor floating around that letters have already been sent is true, but at least according to the information I got, nothing has been sent yet.... 🙁
Here's to more waiting! Cheers! 😀 🙁 😕

Has anyone recieved a recent Pitt interview invite this week? It seems like my chances are getting slimer each....I wonder why they haven't just rejected me yet. Haven't they already sent out massive rounds of post-secondary rejections? Anybody else in my boat?

Is the amount of time it takes you to get an interview invitation indicative of your acceptance chances post-interview? Pitt took about 3 months to send me an invitation, I interviewed in January, and I am waiting for a decision like the rest of you. However, after reading the last post, I'm wondering if it was just an interview for a waitlist spot.
Good luck everyone!

thanks for the update, doc oct. do you (or anyone else) know when the student interviewers will get their lists? to pitt med students, please encourage your classmates to do those emails so those people that are gonna get good news get it as soon as can be.
The travel expenses aren't paid for, but you will be housed with a student (usually a first year, since the second years will be studying for boards by then). The whole thing is pretty much run by the first years.Originally posted by applyingnotfun
is Pitt's second look weekend paid for by the school (as in do they pay for us to fly to Pittsburgh and put us up in some type of housing for the weekend?)
I think the majority of people will email, but they might not do it right away - it will pretty much depend on what time and what day they put the notices in the mailboxes. Some people don't check their mail daily, and most people leave school right after a test, so if they put the notices in the mailboxes in the afternoon, you might not hear for a day or two... So just don't worry if you don't get an email.Originally posted by joker
just curious...about how many of the student interviewers email their students who were accepted? also, could you please let us know when you get the list of accepted students? thanks! that way we know when we can expect something....

it would be better if we didn't have to worry about the email thing. now i've got to worry and stress about that too.

I know exactly what you mean. Once the first post appears on here that someone received an e-mail I'm going to go crazy checking my inbox.

What discussion are you talking about? I didn't think Pitt's status page would show results?

<-- going nuts with worry!!
So if they sent the letters out today, when should we expect to get them? I'm in NJ - do you think that expecting the letter by Wed is reasonable?

first year student interviewers were notified today of their interviewees who were accepted so that they could email them before the letters arrive. not that they will all necessarily do that, but you could hear from your interviewer soon
