I dont think its too tough of a screen. Certainly less tough than NYU, Wake, or Vandy's screens. It can't be too bad because even I made the cut with my below-3.5 GPA.

I think Pitt's screen is more GPA-based. I got a secondary w/ 3.61 BCPM and 3.77 overall. MCAT is sub-30 (retook in August).

i have a friend who got a 3.00 (from MIT albeit) and a 35 and he got a secondary so i dunno about the GPA cut off thingy

I got a secondary and an automatic interview with a 2.95 overall, 3.43 BCPM and 39 MCAT. So I gotta disagree - it's either a multi-variable formula or just MCAT. Certainly not overall GPA, eh? 😛

Ok but when others state that they were received emails from Pitt that say "sorry..." I tend to believe them.

How long did it take to receive the Pitt 2ndary? I just added them to my list, and was wondering when most people heard back from them? I have been verified for about 2 months now, but added them yesterday.

They receive electronic submissions from AMCAS on Thursdays and Fridays. They won't begin to review you for secondary until they receive a paper version from AMCAS, which happens the following week. I added Pitt to my verified AMCAS a week ago Thursday, they received it last Thursday (electronically), and I got the secondary today.
