Alrighty,
Hi guys, this is my first post on here, but I have been lurking around for the past few months.
I am fortunate enough to get to choose between Pitt and Case. Both these schools seemed very welcoming and I am having a heck of a time picking one over the other.
As far as I gather until now:
- Case: top notch facilities, friendly environment, you have your own chair for 3rd and 4th year, you get a "secretary" for every 12 or so students, nearly 100% of students complete their requirements on time, everytime.
UNKNOWNS: student life (I'm in my early 20's and single), safety of the area near the campus, how does the pass/fail system work? and is that the way to go?
- Pitt: more than adequate facilities, superfriendly environment, beautiful location (construction on "cardiac hill" left me thoroughly impressed), student life potential (they had a b-ball game in the peterson events center the night b4 the interview, and after the game it was swarming with students (and pretty girls)), interesting town with a lot of activities.
UNKNOWNS: they claimed that all their students finish on time because they shuffle patients around b/w 3rd and 4th years but is that so?, the clinics on the tour were not that filled with patients, do you get your own chair? is that a problem if not?
Being out of state for pitt, the costs end up as near as makes to difference to case. So we'll say cost is not a factor on this one.
I have seen a lot of people very excited about Case on here and I can see why, but I am slightly worried about about student life in Cleveland.
Feel free to answer the questions, correct me if I'm wrong and add your own concerns please!
