Has anyone heard from Pitt? I got a confirmation email from them saying my application was under review almost 5 weeks ago now, and the said they'd get back to me in a few weeks. They don't interview an their website says to expect a decision within 3-4 weeks. I'm not exactly concerned, because I guess the fact I haven't heard something yet means they didn't think my application was so bad they denied me immediately, but I'm just wondering if anyone got a decision yet and how long it took!

Don't know what it's worth but when I got accepted there a few years ago I found out first week in December.

I basically got the same email, about 5 weeks ago, so using my definition of "a few", I'm expecting to hear back any day now (but it could also be weeks off, as "a few" is really vague and could just mean "we're working on it".)

I wouldn't be concerned though, but this will be my first reply from a school that doesn't interview, and I'm quite interested in UPitt so I'm anxious to hear back.

No I did not end up going there.

Update: Heard back from UPitt on Friday with an email saying that I've been accepted.

Only have a month to decide though...

Congrats! No word yet here going on 6 weeks this coming wednesday... At this point I just kinda want to hear something, good or bad! Although I suppose if I had the choice I'd rather wait and get good news, but I feel like I'm just waiting to hear bad news. Either way, congrats again 🙂

Haven't heard anything either. Sent my app in 8/13, and sent my GRE scores in the beginning of September.

I just heard from them today. They said I was placed on the wait list. Have an interview for University of Maryland Baltimore next week though.

Thanks! They said the wait list is not ranked. I submitted my PTCAS application probably about 10-12 days before the deadline. Pitts deadline was October 1st.

I am also waiting to hear back from them. I submitted my application on October 7th and received an email from them about a week later saying they would get back to me within a few weeks (likely the standard email they send to everyone). Based on what everyone else here is saying, I'm guessing it will be a few more weeks until I hear anything. I have interviews for Columbia and University of Miami lined up in the interim. Hoping to hear back from Pitt soon though either way.

My application was mailed on 9/23 and I received the same email from them on 10/15. I have not heard anything yet either.

My PTCAS application was mailed on 10/21. I received an email from Pitt stating my application was under review on 10/23. And I was notified that I was placed on the wait list on 10/30.

"After a careful review of your application the Admissions Committee has placed you on a Wait List. At this time the Wait List is not ranked; however, the list will be revisited and if your status should change, you will be notified immediately if we are able to offer you a seat in the class."

Hmm... interesting. I don't get what they're waiting for with my app! I'm actually no longer concerned about a rejection from Pitt since I've been accepted at schools I'm more interested in; I just wish they would get it over with!

I'm pretty much in the exact same boat, received the same email on 10/15 from Pitt and haven't heard anything since. I'm not holding my breath because my statistics are not flawless and Pitt is a really top notch program but I still wish they would email me back soon!

Congrats! That's fantastic. I still haven't heard anything from them and I submitted on October 7th. I know that was a bit after you did though. I've gotten interview invitations to all of the schools I've applied to, but they are all in January/February so I was hoping to get an acceptance to at least one no-interview school to make me feel better and I'd love to attend Pitt.

Has anyone else heard recently who applied in October? I hope all the spots aren't full before they get to my application, but we shall see! Good luck everyone.

Still haven't heard anything. No rejection, wait list, acceptance, nada. I'm already committed to Drexel so it's no big deal, I just wish they would let me know.

I'm not sure if this will help too much but I know that deposits for the program are due on Jan. 26th for the first round of acceptances, so it might happen that they will be sending out more acceptances after that once they've heard from those people.

I was accepted, and I'm seriously considering putting a deposit down because I love Pitt's program. The only qualm I have is the price 🙁 need to figure that one out because it's up there for out-of-staters. I'm going to the preview day and making a final decision after that!

Nada, despite hearing from them in October to say I would receive a decision in a few weeks, and then again in December to say they're behind and will be contacting me soon.

I finally heard back from Pitt. I am on the waitlist. I sent them an email asking for an update on Friday and they responded to me yesterday, January 29th letting me know I was on the waitlist. It's fine though because I've gotten into all of my other schools so far. 🙂 Good luck everyone!
