I'm sure most of you received the email from Ms. Mangold regarding the decision for people interviewed on Nov 29th. It seems that they might start sending out acceptances TOMORROW! I'm so stressed and so scared ! Thinking about it makes me want to throw up! Also, they didn't have a single Canadian in their previous class, so things might not be great for me despite the high recommendation from my interviewer! AHHHHHHH
Sorry I just want to vent.....my heartbeat has not gone below 90 per minute for the past few hours!!! 🙁

Wow. I'm pretty nervous as well. I'm especially nervous because they don't know about my fall semester grades which really bumps up my poor sGPA. I dunno what's gonna happen. 🙁 !!!!

I'm with you buddy!!! Well different situations but same anxiety! I developed a mouth ulcer from this prolonged period of stress😡

I really have no idea about that. They never reveal the actual numbers. However Ms. Mangold still insisted that there's no difference if you interviewed Oct 25 or Nov29 -- all will be given equal consideration....how could it be equal...if our acceptance depends on how many people rejected their offers on Dec 1?
I will try really, really hard to chill out.

They may have only given out a portion of their seats on Dec 1

Relax. Everyone's status is changed to Received/Under Review as of 1/4/2012 as opposed to Invited For Interview previously.

I definitely understand that you're worried, but maybe they did accept Canadians and those students chose to attend another school.

If so, do you guys think all the acceptances are sent to AADSAS in bulk? Like once someone says they got an acceptance, everyone else who is accepted will also have been notified and thus if you haven't received one than you're not going to receive one?

I have no proof, but I believe it's bulk. Why would they do it manually? That's why...I'd appreciate it if any of you got in, post your good news here right away. With that, I can withdraw from this excruciating process of anticipation.

There was one person that claimed he/she got an update like 2 hours before any of us heard... but then the rest of us got updates around the same time.

You're right. My bad for not remembering the email. Ms. Mangold also told me just now that the emails will indeed go out this afternoon. I guess I'm going to stop refreshing and do something to keep myself distracted until later this afternoon.

IMO, they won't tell you anything if you weren't accepted. That's just my educated guess from observing what other dental schools do.

I interviewed in September, and when I called Rosemary on Dec. 1st, I was told that Pittsburgh doesn't have an official "waitlist" -- so they don't actually put people on the waitlist.

I was, however, essentially "wailisted" Dec. 1st, and didn't receive any contact from them. I guess it'll be the same this time.

Lollll thanks. I know that but it doesn't help too much. My logic is that "if they dont want me now it's unlikely they would want me later". I have never gotten off any waitlist for dental school before (but then again this is my first time applying...)!
