Plan B for those who got rejected

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Applied to a number of SMP's to improve my credentials.

I have gotten 9 rejections...waiting to hear back from 4 schools (no interview invites...yet)

my plan B (which is becoming more and more probable) is to apply to masters programs, and apply again this summer for the 2011-2012 cycle.

Wow, BruinDentist. You have amazing DAT scores. Looking at your predent profile, you did relatively well in your postbac work despite your lower undergrad grades. I'm really surprised that you didn't get a single interview! Have you talked to admissions to see why they didn't give you a chance?

Are the UCLA clinic and predental technique courses the only ECs you have? I think you may want to branch out and do more volunteering to show adcoms that you like to help people, etc. Sorry for the unsolicited advice. But I'm just surprised that you didn't get any interviews with your stats. Makes me think that there must be something else in your application besides the numbers that is sending a red flag to the adcom. It would be wise to find out what that is and address it before you apply again.

I wish you the best of luck!:xf:

He doesnt have a masters GPA for them to see his upward trend. Therefore to view it they would most likely have to pick through his transcript. I would suspect that the 2.5 overall will lead to an autoreject prior to that detailed of an evaluation.
However, no doubt he WOULD do well in dental school. I hope you get in too, Bruin.
