I messed up the dates for deadlines and I missed the dates to reschedule/cancel the 8/17 exam so it looks like I'm taking it tomorrow. I plan on voiding it as I haven't done any of the section banks or AAMC full lengths yet. I'm planning on taking the 9/14 exam for real. After I finish my expensive, unscored practice test tomorrow do I just hit void at the end? Schools will never see this correct? I believe I can sign up for another MCAT two days after I take it, so come Monday I should be able to sign up for 9/14 (there's still dates available around me as of now).
Is there any scenario where I shouldn't void it and score the test tomorrow? I really do plan on smashing that void button, but it's something I've wondered. I feel pretty prepared and I think I would do well enough, however it feels like a big risk since I haven't taken an AAMC full length to actually see where I stand. I definitely have some content gaps (lenses, citric acid cycle, etc.) but depending on what is asked tomorrow I could know most of the things on the test. If I feel confident that I did well (if that's even possible to tell), I'd hate to void it and have a test in a month that hypothetically attacks my weaknesses more. I would love to get a 515+ even though I don't think its necessary for my application.
So far in my prep I've done 2 NS full lengths, all of UWorld (except for CARS), all of Khan Academy and the AAMC section banks. Anki has also been my best friend. Here are some of my scores:
I did the two NS full lengths as a sort of diagnostic to see where I was at back in May. I hadn't done any passage based questions really so I was shooting from the hip a bit. Also I was 100% guessing during p/s because I hadn't started studying for it yet at all. I had taken a single social psych class 6 years ago.
NS 1: 509 (127/127/128/127) taken 5/18/19
NS 2: 506 (127/126/128/125) taken 5/25/19
UWorld: I did this from about June 1st to July 1st
P/S 72%
Biochemistry: 76%
Biology: 73%
Gen chem: 74%
Organic Chemistry: 65%
Physics: 62%
AAMC Q Banks: Just did these this past week
Bio QPack 1: 85%
Bio QPack 2: 83%
Physics QPack: 86%
Chem QPack: 83%
I know the smart option would definitely be to void tomorrow
