Can anyone recall anything complex about plant hormones?? I've gone over auxins, gibberellins, kinins, ethylene, inhibitors and anti-auxins...am I missing anything?

abscisic acids too

is botany on the DAT? (besides photosynthesis.)

please excuse the naive question. i didn't see botany listed on the ada DAT outline.

and i plead i'm-still-a-year-away-from-my-DAT.

Stuff not covered in Kaplan (it really sucks on botany...)

Vegetative propagation- bulbs, tubers, rhizomes, runners
Plant life cycles- gametophyte, sporophyte (alternation of generations)
Seed structure- epicotyl, cotyledon, hypocotyl, endosperm, seed coat
Dicots vs. monocots
Evolutionary advantages of fruits and angiosperms
Xylem, Phloem, cambium and the plant vascular systems
Woody growth
Phototropism, plant hormones (see above)
Plant structure for photosynthesis (role of vascular bundles in C4, etc.)
Taxonomy of plant kingdom: Mosses, Liverworts, Ferns, Angiosperms, Conifers etc.

Thank god I took botany, otherwise I'd be a little lost.

my organismal biology was 50% botany and 50%zoology and we covered all the topics that u listed. are you saying the real dat asks questions about botany?

Erm, no. Some of the stuff I encountered on practice tests, and some of the topics are from a biology outline. It's possible they might be on the DAT, but I wouldn't count on it... sorry for the confusion.
