do we need to know the plant structures and their functions for the DAT this year? i was looking at the examinee guide from ADEA and i did not see plant structure and functions under the topic lists. did they change the topics covered in the test recently? i have a friend who took it a couple years ago and he said that they covered it then but how about now?

thanks!

what do you mean structures? either way i think it'd be a safe bet to know female and male reproductive structures, and endosperm... basically the big ones listed in the kaplan book. as to whether or not it will be on the exam, that i've no idea.

Yes, know general plant concepts and ideas. Don't stress out too much and focus on what's in the Kaplan book. I couldn't see more than 2 plant specific questions on the test.

i just looked at the new Kaplan book (DAT 2008-2009 edition) and it does not cover plant structures and functions (i.e. stem, xylem and phloem). the only thing covered on plants is photosynthesis.

has anyone taken it recently? were there any questions on plant structures/ functions?
