No plants on the mcat as far as I know... and I've only seen one tax question during my AAMC endeavors.

No plants, and as for taxonomy:

King (kingdom)
Phillip (Phylum)
Called (class)
Out (order)
For (family)
Great (genus)
Sex (species)

I thought it was

Kings
Play
Chess
On
Fine
Grain
Sand

?

regardless, EK had a very short section on fungi, primarily on 2n/n, gametophytes and the like, I thought I'd seen a question or two on that on a practice AAMC test, I'd suggest covering that area briefly in prepping for the BIG TEST
