Plants... on DAT

Hey... for those of you who took the DAT, was there a good amount of plant material on there... Also, its the classification stuff i'm worried about (bryophata, coniferata, etc)

a friend of mine who just took his last month told me he was surprised to see quite a bit of plant material on there...

you definitely better study classification until you have it down cold. In fact its more important than photosynthesis and the calvin-benson cycle in my opinion on the dat.

I personally didn't have hardly any questions on plants.... I guess you should study they reguardless though....

yup, I didn't have any plant questions either. But there were some very weird classifcation questions. Study that well!!

ahh! so i did well to make about 50 flashcards back in my general biology class with the traits of different plant, animal, and fungal phyla, classes, and orders, eh?

just as an example, what kind of classification questions might i expect to see. perhaps a 2-3 fact description of some organism (it exhibits radial symmetry, is found only in marine environment, shares a symbiotic relationship with flowering plants, etc etc) and then i have to be able to come up with the phylum, or class, or order?

what should i expect?

Dont worry about any plant stuff other than the basics, unless you are shooting for that 24+

I didnt have any plant stuff on mine, though definelty thoroughly study classifications for the others.
