Hello everybody!

I'm a 6-year student of Medical University in Moscow and I'm desperately interested in residency outside of Russia. I tried to find some programes, but I found only one in Queen Mary University in London (http://www.qmul.ac.uk/postgraduate/coursefinder/courses/121504.html)

So can you advice me some other programes? Wherever in UK.
Do I need to finish GS internship before applying in residency program?

I will really appreciate you for your answers.

That link you posted isn't a Plastic Surgery Residency. It is just a Masters degree for Plastic Surgery Residents who are in training or Plastic Surgeons to better prepare you for cosmetic surgery.

Without EU citizenship you will find it very difficult to get a residency in the UK. You need to start with the foundation programme which is internship for 2 years. After that you apply for your residency. I don't know if this is a popular route for students in your position, if it is your friends who have done this route will be much more familiar because not many people on this forum have gone from Russia to UK for training.

Thank you for information!

Do you know what are my next steps after the 2 years of foundation programme?
As I know I need to be enrolled in Core surgery programme (2 years). The question is where I can do that?
And then finally specialization in plastic surgery programmes (like this, as I suggest? https://www.rcseng.ac.uk/courses/course-search/specialty/plastic.html)

But the main question is (maybe it sounds stupid, but I really can't get all this system):
The foundation/core training means that I'll be working as a real doctor. So I will be receiving a salary? And if yes, how much it could be? Approximately, of course.

You will be making a salary

Keep in mind there will be banding so if you work nights and less favorable hours you will get a bonus up to 50% of your base salary. There are other smaller fees as well.

You are right that after foundation you do core surgical training and then followed by specialization. I don't know how easy it will be to get into foundation programme because they will only take EU citizens from EU medical schools but as you are from Russia I don't know. You should likely ask your friends or email the foundation programme itself
