whats nbme's rule if you fail step 1? is there a period you have to wait before you can take the exam or can you register right away and take it right away ? 😕 im just asking, cuz that bastard nbme tests didnt treat me all that well :scared:

According to first aid, if one fails, you have to wait a minimum of sixty days before being allowed to retake step one. Stop worrying about failing- it only makes one nuts. Keep studying and remember that most people do pass. :meanie:

When I'm freaking out in six weeks, I will also need someone to console me :scared: .

daisy baby, how in the hell do you still have 6 weeks left? when do your rotations start?

It is a long story, but the gist of it is that I wanted extra time to study for step one. So, I decided to take a leave from school- first clerkship only. I needed the time off anyway because I was really burned out from school. I'll be 'wide eyed and bushy tailed' (or however that saying goes...) when I return to school for my surgery clerkship :scared: . What a great way to come back to school after having just taken step one :scared: .
