A 30 year old female came to see a doctor because of her fasting plasma glucose 5.9 mmol/L, 2 hours plasma glucose 8.9 mmol/L after 75-g glucose challenge. 1 year ago,she was found her fasting plasma glucose 6.3 mmol/L, 2 hours plasma glucose 11.5 mmol/L after 110-g glucose challenge during here 28 woks gestation.Now the diagnosis of this woman should be :
A.Diabetes Mellitus;
B.Gestational Diabetes;
C.Impaired glucose Intolerance;
D.Normal;
E.Impaired Fasting Glucose;

D

2 hour glucose tolerance test with 75g glucose load showed the glucose level is less than 200 mg/dl

DM is random glucose > 200 or fasting Glucose > 125 x 2 before 20 weeks

Gestational Diabetes is DM criteria met after 20 weeks, usually tested with a 1 then 3 hour glucose. A 2 hour glucose is tested in normal adults who are not pregnant

Impaired glucose tolerance is between 100 and 125 fasting glucose x 1 time

Normal is fasting glucose <100

"impaired fasting glucose" isn't a real thing.,

honestly, i don't know what mmol/L translates to in american medicine... mg/dL
