When does AACOMAS verify your gpa:

1) Is it as soon as you send in your transcript

2) Do they wait until you submit your application and then verify it?

The reason is that I had my transcript sent from my college on 9-27-06 (that is when my school mailed it out, they sent a verification notice dating when it was mailed). So based on mail, AACOMAS probably got it at the beginning of this month. Does that mean I will be verified sometime at the end of this month, beginning of next month? Because I still haven't submitted my application, since I was waiting to be verified. Am I ok?

Once they receive your transcripts they have to verify you entered the correct info course by course. Also, there are a ton of applications being processed this time of year, so it is probably going to take a little longer for verification. Give AACOMAS a call to see what your timetable is like. Sometimes a phone call will light a fire under their butts and get your app verified a little faster (this was the case with a few people back in June).

It isn't so much the time frame that I am worried about, but whether they verify before I submit my application or only after.

if I understand your question correctly, they will verify it after you submit the application and they receive your transcripts. I don't think they will do one without the other.

just fyi, i submitted mine on July 15 and was verified on Aug. 8. I had e-mailed them on August 6 to find out the status (i don't really think it was a coincidence).

Now, they don't verify your GPA until after you pay and submit the application. My transcripts have been in since June 6th..but I just submitted my app last week..and my GPA hasn't been submitted yet.

It is impossible for them to "verify" your transcript until you have submitted your application. "Verify" means that they look at the grades and courses that yuou submitted on your application and check (verify) them to make sure you entered them correctly. They don't do anything at all (except keep your transcrpts in a file) until your application is submitted and paid for.

AFTER, you have submitted your application, your courses will be verified in 4 to 6 weeks.
