Pittsburgh, Buffalo, and Tufts changed! At this point I feel like a teenager over-analyzing text messages. Gah.
Maryland and Temple did not change. Anybody else?
Pitt and Columbia changed.
Pitt and Columbia changed.
Mine didnt either for Maryland, im curious to see if anyone's did though
My Buffalo doesnot change! And I had interview there, weird.
Same, mine didn't change either and I just recently interviewed there. Minnesota, on the other hand, changed yesterday for me.
WOOHOO looks like multiple acceptances to me!!
the only thing that you can conclude is that the schools have made a decision, and that you WILL hear something on dec. 3rd. no sense in getting excited/bummed out for nothin'. just sayin.
Your right! Im so sorry, I am just so anxious..
I know for me, the schools where I felt like my interviews went best changed to the 'Check back' status and a school where I felt the interview went bad stayed as 'invited for interview'. I think there might be something to it.

What chools didnt change. Some schools might not have changed their status yet
It simply means that they've entered a decision into the portal and we'll find out on the 3rd. Some schools won't change the portal status and inform us via email. Everyones reading too far into this. So will the "Check back on Dec 3" status change sunday at midnight, or at 9am when aadsas opens?
I hope that's not true cuz I felt good about ucsf and minnesota and the ones I didn't feel good about r nova (1st interview) and USC (group interview)
Are you sure about this ??
I didnt do well at one school but I still got check back message.
I think it just depends on school doesnt it ?
No I am not sure at all...just a guess.
The school where my interview didn't go so well was a school that others have reported the status changing and mine didn't change. And a couple schools where my interview went very well (at least to me) changed when others haven't changed.
It probably/definitely depends on the school.
For better or for worse, my Minnesota did change to 'Check Back on Dec. 3...'.
I am afraid that "check back on " message is basically is a rejection. Because I got reject email from indiana and case, and I have check back messege.. And after I interview USC , it changed from check back dec 1 to check back on dec 3. I didnt get any different message from others I interviewed. (NYU and Creighton)
So I am very scared that I might not be accepted.
Anyone knows about the USC , NYU and creighton ?
Have no idea what you guys are talking about " check back on Dec " thing...

huh?
My UCSF has stayed at "Received/Under Review" and never even changed to "Invited for Interview"...ugh, I really hope to hear some good news from them on Monday!
Columbia just changed to check back Dec. 3. For those of you who interviewed there did yours do the same?

Wow, guys, this is really stupid. Even though some people got this "Dec. 3" message after they were rejected DOES NOT mean that all people who have this message are rejected. It means check back on Dec. 3. Done.
Is NYU listed on your AADSAS? If so, what does it say?
Mine did not...and my interview went bad there. Partly why I think it is a good sign to have the change, at least at some schools.

Check these two threads out and see what ya think.
a member on here named "cleanup" posted last year that his status changed for the UMinnesota to Check back on dec 1 a week before. He had also interviewed there. I followed his posts to see what he posted on Dec 1 and low and behold he recieved an acceptance. I also knew someone else that interviewed at minnesota last year and his status remained unchanged or "under review" he didnt hear back on dec 1 and got rejected later. So make what you want of it. It sounds like good news but I would just wait 3 more days to get the offical good news instead of getting your hopes up too high and maybe not hearing anything. Good luck all.

how was yours bad? and you never know, it's all speculation.
What does your status say? As someone else mentioned this is merely speculation so don't get down. I looked at people last year who got the check back from Columbia and a bunch were waitlisted so it isn't definitely a good sign. Just was curious as to what others had as their Columbia statuses.
I mean it could also be "wait-listed". I personally think "check back dec. 3rd" means either accepted OR waitlisted for those who interviewed ONLY and the continuing "invited for interview" status means there will be no response as in a rejection.
He also said this:
I will add more to it
Interview Invite - Review/Under Review = Just like Pitt did, they didn't make their decisions yet.
There is no one who got "check back" message yet = They will update their decisions tomorrow
Interview Invite - Nothing changed = Just as it is, they are still reviewing your application. It can be updated tomorrow or you application is still under review
My point is this. There are not many schools that updated their results yet.
So far Case, Nova, and few more school did.
Guys, most school update their decisions tomorrow okay? be patient
They will update on a Saturday?
No that quote was from a 2011 thread. Basically I think check back dec 3rd just means they made a decision; good or bad. But more than likely good because the school must hate you if they reject you immediately.
This
Iowa changed for me today to check back. I interviewed in September.
Has yours updated yet?

I also interviewed in September, but have yet to see it move from "invite to interview". Hopefully aadsas is just lagging for me...
hopefully, your stats are better than mine so it wouldn't look good for me if our statuses were different lol
I guess we were there on the same day then.
Lol I argued with my interviewer, so yeah, didn't go particularly well.
Thanks for the encouragement! As long as I get in at one of the schools I interviewed at, I will be happy. They were all excellent schools, and truth be told I want to end up in the midwest anyways!
