I took my DAT last august and never applied because i thought august is late for sending an application with such scores. i was planning to retake it but that 90 day wait time made me think i still have time to start studying again... anyways here are my scores
QR 19
Bio 18
G chem 17
Ochem 21
RC 16 🙁
PA17
TS 19
AA 18
I have a master's degree in biology and my science GPA is 3.5-6 , I have more than 200 hrs of dental shadowing and a lot of community service. Do you guys think I should retake it and then apply or I should apply june 1st and wait till I get some answers?? how bad is RC of 16? come on I already wrote a thesis for my MS 🙁

retake. a 16 in RC is not hot.
and an 18 bio doesnt look good either, u have a MASTERS in bio, im sure adcoms expect u to score above an 18, with a masters in bio under ur belt......
and the 17 in gc isnt too great either.
the PAT of 17 is okay, but could also be improved.......

retakeeeeeee

Couldn't have said it better. They will expect a masters student such as yourself to be the one most undergrads will turn to when lost about something bio related. Retake with enough practice, get a great score and you'll be a real strong candidate. Without the retake, the 16 in RC is just above the cutoff so you might get in some "not-too-competitive" dental schools, but after all that effort, a little more might make your options limitless.
