PLEASE HELP!! DAT STUDY SCHEDULE WHILE WORKING FULL TIME !

Hi everyone!

I was wondering if someone could post a detailed DAT study schedule that they did while working full time! I just started working a 9am-5pm research assistant job and I'm trying to figure out how to incorporate studying for the DATs into my schedule. It would help me so much!! Thank you!

You're a machine practically. 9-5 work 6-10 DAT. Weekends can be breaks or hardcore studying, up to you. I worked about 30 hours a week while studying. Mostly night shifts (5pm-11pm) it was crazy. Make sure to take 1 day a week to refuel. Best advice is to stay moving. If you take your 1 day a week off, make sure you do something where you get some exercise and sunlight. Go to the lake 🙂

I did the same thing. I worked full time for part of my studying and then requested off the 2 weeks before and it was very helpful.
Amazingly, though, I think the days I studied while working were actually more productive because I knew I was short on time. When you have all day it's very easy to daze through things

How do you know if there is a lake near by?

Well that was sure helpful to the OP. The point was to go outside and keep active. I fail to see how your comments were constructive, but either way, go to the lake 🙂 or park or for a walk or w/e floats your boat

Agreed. Personally, I find it easier to study in a library than at my house because of all the creature comforts I have at home. I can stay much more focused in a library because I am forced to do nothing but study, but after a few hours I get restless. When I had to study all day, I studied a few hours at home, then went to the local public library. Moving your study area after a few hours keeps you focused. Hell, I went to a few different libraries in order to stay focused. Every hour or so, I get up and take a walk around the library just to get up and moving. Whether it be studying for an undergrad class or for the DAT, I always find this helpful.

One more thing and I'll shut up, it's always good to start studying for your DAT earlier. That way, you can better pace yourself and there is less cramming in the final few weeks of studying.
