Step II Please Help! Does Step 2 CS have a scheduling permit?

I am freaking out!

My Step 2 CS is on Monday, and I just read that I need to bring my "Scheduling Permit" with me to the testing center! What sheduliing permit? I never recieved a scheduling permit for CS. I received an Orange permit for CK, but it was taken by prometric when I took CK.

Is there a scheduling permit for CS? Was it the same as the one for CK? What should I do if I took CK already, and prometric took the orange permit with them?

Go to the NBME website (http://www.nbme.org) and log in. You can print the permit from there.

Oh! So the "scheduling permit" is the printable "Confirmation Notice" and not the mailed orange note?

Yep, no crazy orange envelope paper thing this time (sniff, sniff) 🙁

When I took the test, at least two people didn't bring anything with them, they just showed up. Although I think they eventually were allowed into the test, I wouldn't recommend this.
