Hi guys i need some advice, i'll be 21 when i graduate with electrical engineering degree in prestigious university (highest ranked in the country) but my gpa isn't really competitive outside uk and us. i have 2 options

1. i want to study medicine in US and have residency there, but a pre med undergraduate is required. thus, with my degree i'm not eligible yet. i want to take postbaccalaureate in us then it'd take about 1 or 2 years. how important is it to enroll the post-bacc in high ranked uni such as Columbia and NYU as will it affect my admission to the medical school? because i don't have a competitive gpa so it'd be so hard to be accepted in the good post-bacc.

2. will it better if i go to med school in uk, but it takes 6-7 years if i enroll in the undergraduate program. but then my prev gpa can be ignored and they will only see my A-level. i have a competitive A-level score (A*A*A) thus, getting into good uk med school will be possible. but then they have Foundation 1,2 before residency so, it'd take me longer to be a surgeon.

actually my aim right now is postbacc NYU >> NYU med school (accelerated program), but i doubt i can get in. is there any experience in postbacc NYU?

i don't really mind with high cost of study.

your advice or any recommendation will be so much appreciated!

Where are you from?

If you're outside of the US, your best bet is to go to med school outside of the US. It's very difficult to get into a US med school as an international applicant... especially if, as you're implying, your GPA isn't perfect.
