Hi all!

I have a doubt, does flumanezil antagonizes the effects of zolpidem (Ambien) in cases of OD's?

Thanks for any help.

Some studies indicate that flumazenil is an effective antidote for zolpidem overdose. Contrary to popular belief, deaths due to Ambien overdose have been reported. Flumazenil can be administered via slow infusion for acute overdoses. Renal patient studies have shown that zolpidem cannot be dialyzed. Thus, flumazenil appears the only current treatment other than supportive measures.
