Please help! Iowa vs Minnesota!

I know they are both great programs, but does anyone know any good/bad aspects that might set these two schools apart? Went to undergrad at Minnesota and loved it, but I'm not sure if I can handle 4 more years of dinkytown. Any advice would be great!!

Honestly, I've heard that the administration at UMN is not in a good place right now... google it. The mpls newspaper has had a few articles in it lately... Iowa impressed me SO much- Minnesota, not so much. The community at Iowa just seemed so... wonderful/friendly. (Plus the facilities are like brand new, and so OPEN/beautiful/bright- compared to a tad bit dungeony at mn.)

Good luck with the choice! I love mpls. great culture. Either choice will be solid, but thats my 2 cents.

Haven't ever been to Minnesota, but heard good things. I think you should definitely examine your financial situation-- Iowa in state is an amazing deal (not sure where you're from). I'm an Illinois resident that got into both state schools, and I think that I'd have to seriously consider Iowa if I get accepted. I was really impressed with the facilities and personnel at the school.

i had the choice as well.. i went with iowa. I don't regret it.
