What are my realistic chances if send in my application in August? is it too late? Did I even have a chance. I have really good EC. Voulnteering, Shelters, the whole nine yards in that esscence. I also have been published before in some of my Research in the Emergency Room? I have good letters or rec. Is there still hope for me? My Mcat was 9 Phys 7 Bio 7 Verbal. Please help with any advice would be most appreciated

MCAT is low, and GPA is about average to low average. You are also applying kind of late in the cycle. Apply broadly, but if you really want a sure shot at an acceptance retake MCAT.

MD: Your application will make a nice coaster for a drink. You're probably in the lowest 5% of applications.
DO: Your application is somewhere in the bottom quartile for most schools.

Point: You should probably retake the mcat and before you do, go to the mcat prep section where you can pick up a few tips.

Submitting in August is fine, but I suggest you indicate an MCAT retake date on the application, even if it is in September, or January at the latest.

It's too late in the cycle for a DO acceptance with below average GPA and MCAT. Save your money. Retake classes. Apply next cycle.

Sorry guys but i wanted to have this clarification for myself, ( I have a 25O and a 3.6 cGPA 3.5 sGPA). When you all say that it is too late in the cycle do you mean it is too late to submit now and wait for verification? Or does this mean after verification?

I submitted my app at the start of July and am still waiting to be verified..

Someone please clear up this confusion for me

Late in terms of having your secondaries in. 3.6/3.5/25 makes it more realistic for this cycle.

This is July, the OP is not applying late. Though, it's unlikely the OP is gonna get in with that MCAT. I would suggest him/her to retake the MCAT and aim for 26+.

The suggestion that the OP is late is because people are assuming that s/he'll get verified by august and have her/his secondaries in by September.
