hey sdn'ers!

a few weeks back i wrote in my note book for g. chem -

"when no int. state just work w/ first given element."

now i have no idea what that means or what it pertains to!😱 worse, i put a star next to it, so it must be something important.

any ideas? (the int. i'm preety sure means something along the lines of intermediate, internal or initial)
