You should add a few DO schools to your list. With your cGPA, your MD chances are a bit lower I think.

I am not interested DO schools (I do not believe in their philosophy and would rather have someone more dedicated to osteopathy take my spot). Do you have any recommendations on what I can do to increase chances for MD?

You can do as you please. Either way, you could be a doctor. Most DO’s don’t really use OMM anyway, so I see it as a non-issue. I really think you have a decent chance of landing a DO interview though if everything else is also in order. But if you are gung-ho, then I would apply to a wider range of low-tier to mid-tier MD schools than you have listed here given your MCAT and cGPA. That’s the best advice I can give here since everyone’s path to medicine is different. Might try asking Goro or another adcom on here for more in depth advice.

You don't need to believe in their philosophy. If you want to be a doctor and have low-ish stats then it is a good path to consider. It gives you other options in case you don't get accepted to MD schools. So unless you are ok potentially being a re-applicant a 3rd time, I would just add some DO schools to your list.

I would say the school list you have looks fine. Though as a re-applicant I would certainly apply to more than 15 schools. Your EC's are solid, I don't see what else you could really do to make a substantial difference in this regard.

Just my $0.02

Yeah this was the school list I had for this past cycle. For this upcoming cycle I am planning to basically just apply to IS schools and lower stat private schools (RUSH, Temple, Jefferson, etc.). Do you think it would be worth a shot for me to retake?

I'm not sure, to be honest. I guess it depends if you think you'd be able to raise your score or not, but I would get advice from someone else on this.

I hope this next cycle works out for you.
Thank you. @Faha do you have any suggestions for me?

The 3.4 is a bit low, and your MCAT is now below the average matriculated student (a 510). The LizzyM calculator would indicate that about 46% of applicants with your stats get into an MD school - down to 36% using the most recent data. You're going to need to think long and hard as to what your priorities in this process are. If you're going to retake, put in the time to do it right.

The main problem was your school list. Half the schools you applied to were state public schools that have a strong preference for their own residents. East Tennessee is an exception since they like applicants who are veterans and West Virginia gives some preference to residents from neighboring states. I suggest all these schools if you reapply:
Eastern Virginia
West Virginia
East Tennessee
Virginia Tech
Virginia Commonwealth
Wake Forest
George Washington
Georgetown
Drexel
Temple
Jefferson
Seton Hall
NOVA MD
New York Medical College
Albany
Dartmouth
Quinnipiac
Oakland Beaumont
Western Michigan
Medical College Wisconsin
Loyola
Rosalind Franklin
St. Louis
Creighton
Tulane

Agree with my learned colleague, and OP still need sot have DO schools on the list especially being a reapplicant with stats < national median, especially that sGPA.

Beggars can't be choosy.

Apply DO and secure the bag.
