Hey I thought I'd start you up, other members will add soon I am sure
1.)Perform a search and you'll find many tips on QR section.
2.) Brush up on your math skills download some GRE math tests and practice. Other memebers even posted directe links to the site. When you perorm serach you'll the thread.
3.) Try to estimate the answers and dont fall for traps of long calculations. Many of the problems can be solved much simplier than you can think or right the way. I'd recommend a rule: Once you read the problem, Spend at least 15 seconds on thinking on how to do a problem (meaning don't start calculating right the way) Look for alternatives that are simpler.
4) Remember many problems are essentially the same, the number and form does change but once familiar with the general section they cover you should have no problem doing them.
For example you are certain to get Fractions and simple algebra. If this means going back and doing LCD and fraction addition do it!. Also learn(refresh) how to multiply, divide and add numbers without calculators QUICKLY!
5) Redraw Geometry problems, exagarate pictures, know your sin and cos be familiar with deffenitions and Percentages.
6) Evaluate what testing strategies work best for you. DAT is natorius for placing simple algebra questions and the very end of the exam, in this case maybe you'd like to skip questions and come back later.
Ok this is it, I need to go finish Pchem. If you need help with specific problems post them and we'll help you develop an a better algorith to solve them.
Good luck,
Balki
