After this semester (if all goes to plan), my gpa will be a 3.32 for bcpm and overall gpa a 3.38. At my University, there is not enough science courses offered in the summer to move both my overall gpa and bcpm to a 3.4.

Should I only worry about my overall gpa getting up to a 3.4 by taking non science classes at my college this summer or should I take two science courses at my local community college so that both bcpm and cumulative are at 3.4? I took a Physics course last summer at community college but I don't want admissions to think that I am only taking community college classes to boost my gpa. Note: my last 36 bcpm units have all been A's including at least 2 courses in physics, astronomy, biology, ecology, chemistry but I got off to a horrendous start. The Fall 2010 semester will be my last semester (I have already graduated) and I will be taking more BCPM. However, it is my understanding that this will not count towards my gpa but they will look at it.

Any advice would be appreciated. I haven't taken my MCAT yet but I am in the 28-30 range in practice tests and plan on taking it late this summer.

Note: Please no harsh criticism (make it constructive) saying I am not going to get in at the route that I am going. I have worked hard to put myself in this position and have sacrificed a LOT to continue my education. I have already been told by numerous people that I should have quit school a long time ago.

your school doesn't offer ANY science classes in the summer? I would suggest take science or math wherever you can to boost both gpa's.

I would need 11 units to move up my bcpm gpa to a 3.4 and 12 units to move up my overall gpa to a 3.4.

i can only find 6 units that would qualify for bcpm that i havent already taken...that would mean that I needed to take two additional classes either at community college of bcpm or two non bcpm at my university.

Have you taken Statistics?

BTW, any coursework you take after graduation from undergrad is included in your overall undergrad GPA, provided you are not a graduate degree candidate. The postbac classes are listed with a separate GPA line, right under the Senior year line, but the grand total is what is looked at by adcomms. It will be viewed the same as if you'd delayed graduation for that period of time and taken those same classes.

Statistics is offered as a correspondence only course this summer which I think I will do poorly in. Any other suggestions? There is a genetics course being taught but I am told it is a weeder out course that will be tough to do well in over the summer.
