Please help should i retake??

I just sent out my applications for this cycle, and REALLY NEED TO KNOW what you guys think i should do about retaking.... these were my scores on 6/19/13:

QR: 18
PAT: 17
RC: 16
BIO: 21
GC: 21
OC: 26
TS: 22
AA: 20


RC is my MAIN CONCERN, and it has been haunting me ever since i walked out of the test center.... I can retake on 9/21/13

PLEASE TELL ME WHAT YOU GUYS THINK IS BEST. THANK YOU SO MUCH

I would. Just try to make that reading comp a 17 at least. It will be in the safer side for a 18. What percentile is the 16 on reading comprehension btw?

August 21st is pretty darn late unless every other part of your application is stellar. At this point, I wouldn't plan on a retake and hope it works out. If not, I'd just retake before next year's cycle.

i dont think it's late. i know many people who applied in september, october and got interview and were accepted.

I agree with Eugeniager....August is not late at all. I personally know people who took there DATs in August, Sept, and one of my close friends even took it in Oct and got into NYU. So August is not pretty darn late. That being said, I don't think you should retake depending on your GPA. What is your GPA if you don't mind me asking.

If you update that you are retaking, they will still give you an interview before your retake possibly and if you do score well, then you will get an acceptance.

How can we possibly know what you should so if all we know is your DAT score? The score in itself is not prohibitive but we need more to go on.

I agree with others, retaking it September 21st is just too late. If you don't get in, then yeah you'll want to retake to try and get your RC and PAT up if possible. Hopefully you get in and it won't be an issue though! Best of luck to you.

I don't really see an argument for not retaking ASAP. Is OP getting in with this application? Not clear. OP, are you taking more classes? He's not applying late, he's improving his app late. I'd plan to retake and work my balls off.
