heyy everyone! soo here's my story sort of.

i have a 27M mcat and a 3.61 gpa from my undergrad
i got accepted to Tufts MBS program and plan on enrolling for entrance in fall 2009

i want to apply to medical school right now for entrance in fall 2010. i was going to apply to tufts, and i live in ny so i was gonna apply to state schools too. what are my chances of getting in before i finish the MBS program? Will schools take into consideration that im going to be in a masters program?

The science masters (I´m assuming this is not a "Special Masters Program") probably won´t help you much except for the research opportunities you might gain, though it could hurt you if your GPA isn´t high. If it is a two year masters program, I believe you would be expected to complete your commitment to the program before entering med school.

Are you planning to retake the MCAT? That seems a better path to improving your chances of an acceptance to allo med schools.
