hi guys i dont mean to be a bother but it would help me alot if you can answer some questions about my cat scan since your all experts in the fiel im a pre med student so i dont know much yet. i might have marfan syndrome the other day i had a cat scan of my aorta all the way to my abdomen pelvis looking at the entire length of it with contrast material my question is did the scan only look at the aorta or all the other vessels in the abdomen too and does it look at other organs also i have a family history of aneurysms is the spleen and liver area also i would like to know if the ct scan looked at everything or just aorta. and one thing i dont get about cat scans is what view are they looked at in ive looked online and i see mostly the view of someone looking at you from the top in a multislice view but ive also seen the view in which you're being looked at from the front, anyone with radiology experience or any knowledge of ct scans please help me answer some questions, thanks in advance

I'm pretty sure this will get shut down because there is no "medical advice" allowed on these boards.

I have an honest, non jerky, question though. Why no capital letters? I've noticed this is big in the younger generation. Is it not wanting to remember to hit the shift key? I am genuinely curious...

That is one long run-on sentence you got going there. This will be shut down. Use more than google to find medical information.

It is not safe on your end or the doc's end to participate in the whole medical advice game. Go find a good doctor in your town and discuss the issues with them.

google CT angiogram abdomen and pelvis. yes, they look at multiple vessels and other organs. they will have axial slices and may or may not have sagital or coronal reformatted images. by convention CT scans are displayed with the patients right on the left of the screen. we can't tell you exactly what kind of CT scan you had or how the test was ordered or protocoled. so really hard to give you any specific information other than the above... you can request a copy of the radiology report from your doctor if you want to know more.
