Hello everyone, My name is Cristina Espinosa,
i live in Mexico city, I've been becomming almost crazy because all i want in this world is to become a D.O, I'm studying the pre-requisites but i've been finding kind of hard to deal with the procedures of American colleges, some of them have just told me they don't accept international students! What is the difference between an osteopath in the states and one from the commonwealth? are the commonwealth osteopaths recognized as D.O's in the states?
you must think i'm completely clueless! cause it's true, i Am!
annyway thanks a lot
Cristina

What are the commonwealth schools?
If they are not one of the 19 schools in the U.S., than the difference lies in quality of education and the ability for you to practice in some areas.
Try checking AACOMAS to find out about which schools accept international students, and which do not.
