EFC = 0 means you're expected family contribution is nothing. Thats a good thing. If it were high it would mean they would expect you to pay that much of the total.

Staffordloan.com I'm pretty sure is a private company site - kind of a scam. Your stafford loans will come from the FAFSA - so that was a waste of time.

Unisubsidized loans come with the FAFSA.

Everything comes through the FAFSA.

You're done.
 
so how do I find out how much money I can get through that? and how long will it be before that happens?

The financial aid office of your institution will now process your fasfa and find out. You would have to ask them when they will let you know what your financial aid package will be. Every school is different so we can't really tell you when ...
 
probably a stupid question: but do I check with the financial aid office where I'm currently in school, or the med school I'm going to?
