Hello,
I submitted my applications yesterday (8/11)
how long will it take for school to give me a notice about sending them secondary or any other stuffs that they need?
I'll be out of town for 10 days (8/25 ~ 9/5) so i was worried that i would get the notice from schools during the time
Thank you!!!!🙂

Do you mean you just submitted your AADSAS application on 8/11? If so, it takes them forever. Last year I submitted mine on 7/27 and the schools didn't receive it from them unil 9/14! Unbelievable! Then it was another week or two before the schools reviewed it and got back with me. I would recommend going to each school's website that you applied to and trying to send all the supplemental materials now unless they specifically say "we will email you a link to our supplemental things" or something to that effect. Remember, for most schools, your application is considered "incomplete" and therefore not reviewed until ALL application materials (AADSAS app, supp app, supp fees-which you should send now also, letters of evaluation, essays, everything) have been received by each school. So to speed things up, get everything you can to them asap, then they will fill your file and just wait for the AADSAS app. Then it will be complete the day the receive it. Good Luck!😎

Wow,,, really???? that's scary
oh do you mind if i ask your stat, which schools you applied to, where you got interview, and where you are planning to attend? (sorry too many questions🙂)
yea that's what i'm trying to do...i've already sent in all the application fee, pictures, and secondary. i'm just waiting for schools to notify me...i don't know when but i guess end of sep or beginning of oct...geez that's late...but i hope i get some interview...

Yeah, I was going crazy waiting for them to finish with it. Last year I only applied to 3 schools (a mistake): Minnesota, Marquette, and MUSC. i interviewed at Minnesota and MUSC, but by the time Marquette got my app, they had already filled all of their interview spots. So, I didn't get into MN or MUSC, but I'm an alternate at marquette. So with any luck I'll get a phone call within the next 2 weeks asking me to start this month! 🙂

This year i applied to 7 schools, Minnesota, Marquette, Creighton, Indiana, Michigan, Louisville, and Case Western. Indiana already said they're not considering me-bums. Oh well, my last choice anyway. Hopefully AADSAS will keep things moving. i think they usually mail your app about 2 weeks after your AADSAS gpa has been verified, so just keep checking that gpa page because that's the next thing you're waiting for.

here are my scores. Not super, but competitive. I havce about 65 shadowing hours, and some work with Habitat for Humanity.

gpa 3.37
sc 3.32

pat 22
aa 19
ts 19
rc 25
bio 20
gchm 18
pchm 18
qr 16 (blah-but all the schools said a ton of people get around that and it wouldn't matter.)

I also just finished 5 credits of histopathology this summer aith all A's. Doesn't go into the gpa, but at least my brain is still functional.

Oops, forgot a question.

My top choice would be Minnesota, then Marquette, but I really just want to go to dental school, so i don't care.

If you've sent everything out, then all you can do is be patient and wait. And start saving money for interviews! 🙂

Good Luck!
