I applying this year to dental schools and preparing for my DAT. I have done internships at Texas Children Hosptial, shadowing for dentist, have good amount of voluntary and community services, plus I worked for the whole five years I was in school.
My only concern in my academic performance. According to the TMDAS my science GPA is 3.30, non science is 3.48 and my cumulative is 3.37
I got an F in biochem but I retook it and I got a C. In Orgo chem 1 I got a C but in orgo 2 i got a B.
I have 8 Ws in my transcript. These are mostly in non science classes. I moved to US about 6 years ago and since then I have been studying and working fulltime. Due to that I couldnt attend classes, and would end up withdrawing it because of attendance. I am really worried.
I have excellent recommendation letters. Is there anything else that would help..and do I have any hope to get in?
Please respond.
Thank you

Only way to find out is by actually applying. My advise is that you focus on DAT and don't let your GPA bother you for now. If you have an excellent DAT scores, it should help your application get some attention from adcom. GL!

Yo!
Focus on DATs and be sure to address the grades you are concerned about in your PS. Best of luck!
