To the doctors out there, I have a concern that I don't think is serious enough to go to a hospital for, but it has been bugging me for quite a while. I am just an average healthy 21 yr old but I always have these daytime lengths of about 15-20 mins where I REALLY WANT TO SLEEP and cant help it. I thought it may have to do with circadian rhythms and I tried doing some research online, the closest thing was narcolepsy (which seems more extreme than my condition).
Please advise me, is this natural? does everyone get this irresistible sleepy feeling or is there something wrong with me? In the last few years, I often fall asleep in classes, and today when I was taking my MCAT practice verbal, I couldnt stay focused on the passage. Is there anything I can do to overcome it (adrenaline)?
Thank you.
