I am trying to retake DAT, and paid $320 like two weeks ago..
and here is what I was notified from a ADA guy.

Thank you for contacting the ADA to resolve your issue. The reason that you have not received any eligibility letter for your recent application is because you already have an active eligibility to take the DAT from your application in January. This eligibility is valid through 1/21/12. Your new application will not be processed until you either test on that eligibility or you request the for the ADA to cancel that eligibility. If you would like that eligibility to be canceled so that your new application can be processed please respond to this email with that request and your DENTPIN number.

Sounds like you should be able to just sign up for it now. Without waiting on an eligibility letter.

Looks like you registered for it before without taking it.

Then you paid again.

Check your emails to find the dentpin for the previous test you paid for but didn't take.

Ok relax. There is no way the ADA doesn't answer its phones. They practically have nothing to do you must be calling at peak hours. Try waking up at 9 AM and calling if you are on the east coast. (Us west coasters have to wake up at 6.) Explain your situation how you have lost your DentPin for the registration for the DAT in january. Say you didn't know that you had already paid and I guarantee you he will return your money that you paid recently and reset your dentpin, its not that hard. After all they are ADA and thats what they do.

I HIGHLY SUGGEST CALLING THEM instead of emailing them. Email is the worst kind of support you can get from customer service. Take a deep breath and relax and start studying for your eventual date.
