I confirmed an interview date at a great school. I just recieved an invite to another school, geographically close to the the first school. The interview dates are off by a month.
A recent financial emergency made it impossible to fly to the region twice. I don't want to reschedule the new invite because it is a whole month sooner than the other one and I am really interested in the school that just invited me.
Here are my questions:
Can you reschedule an interview once you have confirmed? If not, are schools really offended when you cancel an interview after you already confirmed?
I don't want to burn any bridges. Especially since it is so hard to know where you would really prefer to attend, without visiting the schools first. It's just so expensive since almost every school I applied to is on the other side of the country. Your advice would be greatly appreciated.
