I would really appreciate your advice. Given my following status what do you think my chances are of getting in somewhere if I do decent on the DAT?

Here is my present situation:

Biology degree - graduated: 1996
Overall GPA undergrat: 3.74
Science GPA: 3.9
MD degree and all USMLE's passed (changing careers...)
2 years of dental assisting and other dental knowledge-related experience
AADSAS application submitted 1 week ago
Great Letters of Recommendation from undergrat professors
Great Personal Statement
Will take the DAT toward the end of October of 2007
Applied to 12 schools:

AZ,BU,HOW,MEH,NSU,TEMP,COL,UK,UL,NJDS,UMKC,USC


Will be grateful for any comments.

I think your chances are great. Have you talked to any schools about advanced standing? I know at my school, Case, a guy came in with an MD and was able to skip at least the first year or year and a half. You should look into that and save yourself some time and money.

Wow!! Are you serious?? I would love that. No one had told me about this. That would be beautiful because I have had most of the courses in med school, basically everything except all the dental classes.

You should definitely find out about advanced standing, I think Columbia has some sort of program too. Could ending up saving you aome moneyh and time.
