For everyone who has/intends to go on interviews, the interview feedback portion of this site is a very valuable tool.

Please take the two minutes it takes and fill out the form regarding your interview experiences. I know myself, along with countless other SDN'ers appreciate the feedback and it is the least we can do for future interviewers.

Thanks, (now I have to go and fill them out because I am guilty of feedback neglect also!)

Psych,

It isn't a thread. Go to www.studentdoctor.net and on the left hadn side, right below the like to get to the forums, look for "Interview Feedback"

You can search for each school and read about the experiences of others, it is a great resource.

Let me know if you figure it out.

As for Vandy, I did reply to you, but I went back and copied my reply below. Let me know if you have any questions.

the vandy inerview was interesting. It wasn't sturctured at all. Here's the breakdown:
we arrived
we sat in the applicant lounge for thirty minutes
we talked about financial aid for about ten minutes
we then sat around for about an hour
we then had an information session for about thirty minutes
we then took a ten minute tour of light hall, no hospital tour included
we then ate lunch
then you just sit until your interview. Some people sat for hours. If you wanted there was a tour of the new childrens hospital, if you can, make sure you do it, that place is like disney world.

Interview itself was pretty chill. No hard questions, just expect Why be a doctor, why vanderbilt.

That's all, i really felt it was a wasted trip. The interviewer isn't part of the adcom, all they do is write a paragraph and then send it in.

That said, I loved Vanderbilt, and I really really want an acceptance at that place. Good luck

ugh i just lost my whole post 🙁

thanks so much for letting me know about the interview forum. I wish i had known about it before my interviews; maybe I wouldn't have asked so many dumb questions here 😳 and maybe I would have been more relaxed. 😎 Well i'm sure it will be helpful for the future. And I will update mine.

Thanks for copying the Vandy info here; sorry I never saw it b/c I didn't remember where i asked you about it, so I never made a concerted effort to look for it. Wow that sounded very disorganized; do you think they are always that disorganized or were you just there on a bad day? Do you feel you'd like to attend vandy now or do you feel you haven't learned enough about it to make a fair evaluation?
