So, I have never been happier with my career and anticipated job potentials after getting my fellowship. I am psyched about fellowship and even more 😍 about gettting my masters from Columbia. But this:

Please attach a brief statement describing your background, your past work in your intended field of study, your plans for graduate study and a professional career.

Makes me want to shoot myself. I hated PS for medical school, for residency and here I thought I was all done!!!!!!!!!!!!

ack

grrr.

But I have at least a rough draft. 😛

Yah, my experience (and I wrote a LOT of papers in undergrad) is that it's much easier to turn a crappy essay into a good one, as opposed to creating even a crappy one out of nothing.

Technically its called "Clinical Research and Education". I basically created it. I will be getting a Masters of Arts in Education which will cover basic research methodology and alot of education type stuff. 🙂

I'll be doing research and designing curricula for our residency.

Congrats.

Speaking of tutoring I need some! As my children advance through school I have to learn all the crap (algebra, trig etc.) I forgot from years ago....there is only so much glial mass and as I get older it's not real fond of change!

Thanks. 🙂 Now to get my RDMS out of the way and I think I will have checked off many of my resident goals boxes!

Thankfully, I am still able to keep up with my daughter's K homework. 🙂

the only reason I will be okay with ochem, gchem and basic bio is that I taught it from memory after a while. But geometry *shudders*
