Please I need help.
I sent to translate my transcripts from spanish to english. How do you say in english when you fail in a grade. The translator put "postponement". Isn't it just "failure"? or which word is used to name that idea, that you failed in a grade.

"postponement" doesn't make any sense. How a course failure is represented on a transcript depends on the school, I suppose. There might be a symbol such as "F". Perhaps it would be "no pass". But I don't know what postponement means.

Postponement is "to put off," which correlates in a general sense with "incomplete". That would not be the term you are looking for.

Although failure may result in postponement (ie, you fail an entire year of school so the next year is postponed while you redo the first year again), but I don't think that is what you are describing.

In my country the grades are numbers form 0-10, 4 to 10 is passing score 0 to 3 is failure so you have to retake it. The conflicting spanish word is "aplazo". If you have an "aplazo" means you get a score under 4 (0,1,2 or 3). Although is used as an official word that means failure in a subject it is confusing for other spanish speaking languages (like my translator who is mexican) which use aplazo as postponement. Anyway I sent my transcripts like that, I hope ECFMG doesn't reject it.
