In an aqueous soln of pH = 7, a peptide containing 1 amino gp side chain and 2 carboxyl gp side chains would have which of the following net charges:

1.+2
2.+1
3.0
4.-1
5.-2

ans is 4. -1..can some explain how its calculated.

so -2+(+1) is -1
